Price Hike Hits Disney’s Hollywood Studios' Fantasmic! Dining PackagesPhoto Credit: WDWMagic.com

Disney’s Hollywood Studios has rolled out the latest price increases for its popular Fantasmic! Dining Packages, a change that took effect on August 29, 2024. This adjustment comes two months after the price hike was first announced in June. For adults, prices have increased by $6 at each of the five participating dining locations, while prices for children have remained steady.

Fantasmic! Dining Package Price Increases

Guests planning to experience Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios can now expect to pay more for their dining packages. The price increase affects adults across the board, with new rates reflecting a $6 jump at each restaurant. This marks the first significant price change since last fall, where prices saw a modest increase of $2-$5 for adults and $1-$3 for kids.

Changes in the Dining Package Experience

Aside from the price increase, another notable change is the removal of appetizers from the dining package. Instead, guests 21 and older will now receive an alcoholic beverage with their meal. The package continues to include an entrée and dessert at select full-service restaurants or a full buffet where applicable, along with a nonalcoholic beverage or alcoholic drink for those of legal drinking age.

Additionally, each package provides a voucher for guaranteed seating in a reserved area at the Fantasmic! show. This setup remains a popular choice for guests wanting to ensure a good view of the spectacular nighttime show without the hassle of lining up early.

Value and Experience

Despite the price hikes, the Fantasmic! Dining Package continues to offer a convenient way to enjoy a meal and secure prime seating for one of Disney’s most beloved nighttime shows. However, guests should be aware that the package prices do not include alcohol beyond the one beverage included, tax, or gratuity. Moreover, a valid park ticket and park reservation for Disney’s Hollywood Studios are mandatory to take advantage of the package.

For those trying to decide which dining experience to choose, reviews are available for four of the five participating locations: The Hollywood Brown Derby, Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano, and 50’s Prime Time Cafe. These reviews can help guests determine which package aligns best with their preferences and budget.

As Disney continues to adjust prices, it’s clear that even the magic of Fantasmic! comes with a cost. Guests should plan accordingly to ensure their visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios is as magical as ever.
