Last July 2023, the infamous Dragon caught on fire in a pyrotechnical incident, putting a temporary halt to Disneyland’s beloved Fantasmic! show. Now, the spectacular nighttime extravaganza is making its grand return to the Disneyland resort, with new showtimes officially announced.
Fans can once again experience the magic at 9 PM and 10:30 PM daily, with each show lasting approximately 27 minutes.
When Dreams Come to Life
As darkness envelops the park, dazzling special effects transform the Rivers of America into an epic stage for this extravagant live show. Fast asleep, Mickey Mouse dreams he is the Sorcerer’s Apprentice, conjuring scenes from Fantasia across enormous screens of water, accompanied by brilliant sparks overhead. Pink elephants, swashbuckling pirates, princesses, and more—including memorable scenes from Disney classics such as Aladdin, The Lion King, Tangled, and Peter Pan—come to life on and around the Rivers of America.
In a dramatic twist, Mickey is pulled into the Magic Mirror, and his dream takes a dark turn. The Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs summons some of Disney’s most notorious villains, challenging Mickey to use his imagination to overcome these foes and save the day. Featuring a fantastical array of live performers, beloved Disney characters, enhanced special effects, state-of-the-art projections, and superb pyrotechnics, Fantasmic! promises to captivate audiences of all ages.
How to Watch Fantasmic! At Disneyland Resort
The prime viewing area for Fantasmic! is along the Rivers of America, accessible via the pathway from Frontierland. For those seeking the best spots, viewing is on a first-come, first-served basis. However, for an enhanced experience, guests can purchase a Fantasmic! Dining Package, which offers reserved viewing areas (subject to availability). Fans can once again experience the magic at 9 PM and 10:30 PM daily, with each show lasting approximately 27 minutes.
When Disneyland Park schedules fireworks, guests have the option to enjoy them from the Rivers of America immediately following the first Fantasmic! performance. Alternatively, visitors can watch the Disneyland Park fireworks from iconic locations such as Sleeping Beauty Castle or “it’s a small world” and then return to the Rivers of America for the second Fantasmic! performance. Another option is to view the Fire of the Rising Moons in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
