Disneyland Offers Virtual Queue and Lightning Lane for New Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Disneyland fans can now look forward to a new way of experiencing Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, the park’s highly anticipated attraction based on Disney’s 2009 hit, The Princess and the Frog. When the ride opens to the public on November 15, guests will have two options to get on board: by joining a free virtual queue or by purchasing access through the Lightning Lane service.

Two Ways to Ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

The new attraction, which is a reimagining of the former Splash Mountain ride, will offer a virtual queue on opening day to help manage demand. Available through the Disneyland app, the free virtual queue will notify guests when it’s their turn to ride. To give everyone a chance, visitors can only enter the virtual queue once per day. The queue will open twice daily, with the first opportunity at 7 a.m. and a second chance at noon, which requires guests to already be inside Disneyland.

For those looking for a faster entry, Disneyland is also offering Tiana’s Bayou Adventure as part of its Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Premier Pass services. The Lightning Lane Multi Pass is priced at $32, while the all-inclusive Premier Pass comes at a steep $400, providing access to multiple attractions across the park.

Virtual Queue Only for Initial Days

In the early days after the ride’s launch, there will be no standby line, with access limited solely to the virtual queue and Lightning Lane options. The high demand means that virtual queue spots are expected to fill up within seconds, so guests will need to act quickly. The capacity of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is projected to be around 1,300 to 1,400 riders per hour, with a theoretical maximum of 1,600 riders per hour, according to Disneyland sources.

Currently, passholders with Disneyland’s Magic Key membership are enjoying exclusive previews of the ride on select dates through November 12. These previews are intended to ensure smooth operations and test out the attraction before it opens to the wider public.

A New Adventure with Tiana and Friends

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure follows a story that picks up after the events of The Princess and the Frog, where Princess Tiana and her friends prepare for their first Mardi Gras celebration. As guests make their way through the log flume ride, they will encounter the trumpet-playing alligator, Louis, and other beloved characters. The ride features vibrant bayou scenery and lively jazz music that captures the festive spirit of New Orleans.

When asked about the new attraction, Disneyland officials shared that the ride is meant to celebrate the joyful resilience and community spirit of Tiana’s story. It replaces Splash Mountain, which was based on the 1946 film Song of the South, and marks Disneyland’s efforts to create more inclusive and culturally relevant experiences.

Lightning Lane Options and Pricing

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will not be offered as an individual Lightning Lane Single Pass, which costs between $16 and $28 for other attractions. Instead, it’s exclusively part of the Multi and Premier Pass options, which allows quicker access to several Disneyland attractions on one pass. Disneyland’s Premier Pass, in particular, is aimed at park visitors looking for a premium experience across various rides and activities.

Disneyland encourages visitors to check the app regularly, as virtual queue availability and Lightning Lane pricing may fluctuate based on demand. As the grand opening approaches, Disneyland is gearing up for a busy season, with high attendance expected as fans flock to experience Tiana’s magical world.

For theme park enthusiasts, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure promises a blend of thrill, nostalgia, and a unique New Orleans experience—a fitting addition to Disneyland’s roster of iconic attractions.
