D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is set to take place from August 9-11, 2024, in Anaheim, California. This highly anticipated event brings together Disney enthusiasts from around the world and features appearances by Disney executives, celebrities, Imagineers, and more.

One of the highlights of D23 is the Disney Legends Ceremony, which honors individuals who have made significant contributions to The Walt Disney Company. The 2024 ceremony will recognize 14 new Disney Legends:
- Colleen Atwood: Award-winning costume designer known for her work on films like “Alice in Wonderland” and “Dumbo.”
- Angela Bassett: Acclaimed actress who portrayed Queen Ramonda in Marvel’s “Black Panther” films.
- Martha Blanding: The first permanent full-time Black Tour Guide at Disneyland who later became a senior manager.
- James L. Brooks: TV and film icon, creator of “The Simpsons” and director of films like “Terms of Endearment.”
- James Cameron: Renowned filmmaker behind “Avatar” and collaborator on Disney’s Pandora – The World of Avatar attraction.
- Jamie Lee Curtis: Versatile actress known for roles in “Freaky Friday” and “Haunted Mansion.”
- Miley Cyrus: Multi-talented performer who rose to fame as Hannah Montana on Disney Channel.
- Steve Ditko: Influential comic book artist who co-created Spider-Man and Doctor Strange.
- Harrison Ford: Iconic actor known for portraying Han Solo in Star Wars and Indiana Jones.
- Mark Henn: Veteran Disney animator who worked on classics like “The Little Mermaid” and “The Lion King.”
